Ride the Virtualization Wave

Virtualization is becoming the norm.  Most organizations I talk with already have virtualized some of their servers or have plans to roll out virtual servers.  I get questions frequently on the process for going to virtual email servers.  Micheal Noel over at Windows IT Pro has written a great article on the requirements and some best  practices for virtualizing Exchange 2010.  Check it out below

Active Directory Recycle Bin

It wasn’t long ago that you would have to shut down your domain controller or stop your AD services to do an Authoritative Restore just so you could recover a single object from backup.  With the Active Directory Recycle Bin this process is no longer needed.   The Active Directory Recycle Bin is a new feature that was introduced with Windows Server 2008 R2.  The requirements to take advantage of this feature can be simple for new environments but could be a headache for older environments as all of your domain controllers have to be running Windows Server 2008 R2.

Check out the  minimum requirements and how to enable the Active Directory Recycle Bin here:  Microsoft TechNet
